A high-quality English Chesterfield sofa/settee, circa 1880. Standing on oak turned legs to the front and back with original porcelain castors. A good quality sturdy frame, unlike the rubbish you get these days. The superb roll to the arm is similarly found on Howard examples. The seat is also deep and without the deep buttoning, making re-upholstery more affordable. Seat height 40cm. The covering is old but still has life left in it.
