An impressively carved giltwood overmantle mirror, circa 1880. Carved in the rococo manner associated with the 'Chippendale period', embellished with naturalistic borders and 'C' scrolls. A huge amount of work has gone into the carving this piece and is beautifully gilt in water gilding, giving it a nice light appearance.
