Superb quality French Empire period plum pudding mahogany breakfront bookcase. Standing on gilt paw feet and embellished in classical Egyptian style mounts. Caryatids at the tops of columns with leaves and rosettes on the cornice. The doors are also mounted with wreaths and inset with original brass grills. The interior is oak with adjustable shelves The whole piece can be disassembled for easy moving. A highly decorative good quality antique, you will struggle to find much better. Circa 1820.
