A fine quality mid-19th century English dumb waiter of elegant proportions, crafted from dense, beautifully figured mahogany of particularly rich tone and depth.

This exceptional piece stands on bold gadrooned feet terminating in original porcelain castors, a practical yet refined detail typical of well-made period examples. The solid shelves are generously proportioned with softly rounded corners and a superbly figured surface, displaying the depth and warmth that only well-selected antique mahogany can offer.

The upper section is especially striking. The top rail is decorated with flowing, stylised carving reminiscent of early Arts & Crafts taste, incorporating scrollwork and a central rosette motif. The shaped supports beneath each tier feature finely carved scrolling brackets, adding strength as well as architectural elegance.

The lower tier is fitted with two discreet frieze drawers, ideal for cutlery or table accessories, making this both a decorative and highly practical piece.

A handsome and versatile example, equally suited to use as a serving table, étagère, or statement hall piece. The quality of timber and craftsmanship throughout clearly mark this as a superior mid-19th century English example.

A rare opportunity to acquire a dumb waiter of this calibre and condition.
