A good quality large oil on canvas portrait of a Victorian gentleman in its original gilt frame, signed Lassoquiere 1862. A good decorative piece, popular with decorators as a bolt on ancestor. The is a good sense of light, which captures the subject's personality well. Old repairs but now structurally sound, far bigger than most on the market.
