Hutton-Clarke antiques are pleased to offer a large country house antique mahogany settee, circa 1870. A fantastic example of its kind and unlike most antique settees it's very comfortable, with an overstuffed sprung seat. Not only is the back humped and the arms have great sweeps, but the seat is also serpentine. Not only this but the frieze is beautifully carved with shells and the whole piece stands on cabriole legs. Stripped back to the calico for re-covering.
