Large country house walnut kneehole desk, circa 1720. A great example with oversized proportions and lovely original patination. Figured thick book-matched veneers, herringbone banding and cross moulded. Extra features include re-entrant and canted corners. Lovely fine drawer linings and original feet. Old replacement hand-fretted brassware. A great example unlike most re-polished smaller examples online. Can be used in the main room or a bedroom as a posh dressing table.
