A good quality solid mahogany William IV whatnot, circa 1835. Made from very fine timber with tulip-shaped columns and a cushion moulded base. Standing on finely turned legs with brass castors stamped Cope and Collinson. Below is a makers label which was introduced by John Kendell & co after 1830, it includes both the serial number and the cabinet makers name. J.Kendell and co are known for commissions by stately homes such as Harewood house.
