Regency rosewood and brass inlaid sofa table, circa 1820. The top extends by lifting the two flaps and folding out the four butterflies. The frieze has fretted brass central panels with two hidden drawers to the one side. Below is a lyre style column standing on a platform base with scrolled legs terminating on brass castors. Note the quality brass inlay with paterae and other regency motifs associated with the period.  Designed to sit behind a sofa with picture frames, ornaments, etc on it. Unlike many of its kind, it's not too deep, allowing more space in the room. The width with flaps down is 91cm.
