Spanish Chestnut wood tavern table, circa 1850. Unusual to find these tables in the U.k and an interesting design with a pretty stretcher configuration and a two-piece top. Nicely patinated, which is important with country furniture. A good overhang at the ends and no deep frieze which allows for easy access for sitting at.
