A pretty Dutch fireside bucket, made in mahogany with ebonised banding and ribbed body. Original handle and brass liner (slightly worn). Ideal as a fireside bucket, wastepaper bin or champagne bucket. This bucket is often referred to as a 'Teestoof' which was used for keeping a kettle warm over a bed of smouldering coals. Circa 1800.
